This morning we received this request for mentors from the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, a fantastic organization helping entrepreneurs in the developing world through international mentoring.
women across Africa, South Asia and the Middle East have the ideas and
ambition needed to become successful entrepreneurs, but are held back by
barriers such as lack of access to business
skills, technology, networks, and finance.
By combining mentoring with technology, the Cherie Blair Foundation is
pioneering a new way of supporting women entrepreneurs through its
Mentoring Women in Business Programme where a mentee will work with her
mentor to help take her business, confidence, and
skills to the next level.
Foundation is looking for male and female entrepreneurs and
professionals from a range of fields to support these women by becoming
mentors. All of the mentoring is done online using
a platform designed specially by Google, which allows for great
flexibility and networking. It only takes 2 hours a month and is a
learning and growth opportunity for mentees and mentors alike.
Apply by the 10th of February
to lend your support to a woman entrepreneur and join the next group
of mentors in this distinctive programme. At the beginning of March,
you could find yourself working with a beekeeper in Uganda, a seed
business owner in Kenya, a psychologist in India,
a social entrepreneur in China, or a cake decorator in Malaysia!
