The Bridgespan Group recently published an article, The Global Push to Unlock the Potential of Women Entrepreneurs, highlighting an increase in recognition of the barriers and benefits of supporting women-owned enterprises, leading to the creation of a number of public, private, and social sector initiatives aimed at strengthening women-owned businesses.
The article talks about the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Initiative, which exemplifies a multifaceted approach to supporting women with capital, operational know-how, and networks.
Funded through the Goldman Sachs Foundation, the initiative has built a network of over 89 academic and NGO partners, including GBSN member London Business School, who have brought the program to 43 countries.
The Bridgespan Group also authored a paper, going more in depth on the successes of the initiative's goal, design and further showcasing impact data thus far.
