Posted By Nicole Zefran, Wednesday, January 15, 2014

Goldman Sachs 10,000 WomenThe Bridgespan Group recently published an article, The Global Push to Unlock the Potential of Women Entrepreneurs, highlighting an increase in recognition of the barriers and benefits of supporting women-owned enterprises, leading to the creation of a number of public, private, and social sector initiatives aimed at strengthening women-owned businesses.

The article talks about the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Initiative, which exemplifies a multifaceted approach to supporting women with capital, operational know-how, and networks.

Funded through the Goldman Sachs Foundation, the initiative has built a network of over 89 academic and NGO partners, including GBSN member London Business School, who have brought the program to 43 countries.

The Bridgespan Group also authored a paper, going more in depth on the successes of the initiative's goal, design and further showcasing impact data thus far.
