Value of Management Education to Enhance Health Systems

Posted By Josie Fan, Tuesday, October 14, 2014

Guy Pfeffermann coauthored an article with Ann Kurth, Professor at New York University College of Nursing Global, that was recently published in The Lancet Global Health.  In the article, they state “As heath systems become increasingly complex, however, the importance of management capabilities has come into sharp focus…Partnerships between health professional education institutions and specialized management and business schools could be very valuable”.

The article articulates the importance of collaboration between high quality business schools with health professionals by providing critical and innovative thinking skills.  These corporations could also embrace practical trainings to increase availability and quality of heath professionals to strength health systems around the world.

We are also hosting a health management session on the third day of GBSN & EFMD Joint Conference in Barcelona this November. Click here to view the detailed agenda.
