During the last day of the GBSN and EFMD Joint Conference on Africa, held in Barcelona, participants had the opportunity to tour the ESADECREAPOLIS Open Innovation Community. Because its headquarters are located within the ESADE Business School’s campus, which right outside the city of Barcelona, ESADECREAPOLIS provides a link between the academic and industrial worlds. As such, the community within ESADECREAPOLIS is comprised of influential academics, top undergraduate and graduate students, entrepreneurs, high-growth startups, and professionals from SMEs to large companies. All of these participants recognize innovation as an integral part of their culture and philosophy, resulting in a valuable and inspiring ecosystem.
Students and entrepreneurs at ESADECREAPOLIS have access to advising services, workspaces, High-Performance programs, workshops, events and social networks to facilitate and accelerate innovation. Through much collaboration, mentorship and networking, members are able to develop and evolve their business ideas, rent their own spaces and brand their businesses in order to gain visibility. ESADECREAPOLIS provides people with a space where they can take advantage of the latest innovation trends and tools with the aim of activating their own innovation processes and growing their businesses. Thank you to ESADE Dean Jonathan Wareham and his colleagues for setting up this tour for our conference participants.
