Congratulations to the Wilfrid Laurier University School of Business and Economics MBA team for their first place victory in the Aspen Institute Business & Society International MBA Case Competition! The Laurier MBA team competed against a pool of nearly 1,000 students from across the globe to win first place and receive a $15,000 prize. It is Laurier's third win in this competition, in the past five years. Wilfrid Laurier University is a member of the Global Business School Network.
The Aspen Institute Business and Society International MBA Case Competition challenged students to analyze the intersection of corporate responsibility, public relations, and brand value. This years case focused on AXA US, a worldwide leader in financial protection strategies and wealth management, and required students to address AXA’s CR issues, examine how addressing these issues would add value to the company, and create performance metrics for measuring CR improvements. Students had three days to prepare, after which they presented their plans to a panel of judges drawn from global business leaders. Winners were recognized at a breakfast event at the Yale Club of New York City on Friday, April 17.
