Cape Verde

Among the most stable democracies in Africa, Cape Verde lies off the West African bulge. Poor in natural resources, it attained one of the highest living standards in Africa thanks to tourism and large diaspora remittances. Its 80 percent adult literacy rate is among the best in Africa.
