This online working group is for GBSN Member School staff working with Alumni (from Director to staff level) who would like to connect with like-minded peers from around the world. Members can share their challenges, successes and questions with colleagues from GBSN's international network of business schools. Group members will also have the opportunity to help schools in developing countries that don't have well-established programs and are looking for new ideas.

The Alumni Services Working Group calls are scheduled for the fourth Friday of each month, from 10:00 am- 11:00am (ET - Washington DC time).

Student mentor programs strive to connect current students and alumni to build relationships. These relationships can provide beneficial advice and networking connections for students, while also cultivating the lives of alumni who take the time to share their experiences and expertise.

Some questions to think about during this discussion:

How does your institution engage alumni to become mentors? What benefits does the program give to alumni who choose to become mentors? Why and how does mentoring programs benefit the students? How do you pair a mentor with a student to make the experience effective? What types of activities and opportunities does the program offer? How does your program choose mentors? What type of qualities, skills and background should a mentor have? Why do you think student mentor programs are important? How could you improve your mentor programs?
