Theme: Spurring the Entrepreneurship Economy; Through a Global Ecosystem
Emerging Markets of South and SE Asia and Africa will have over 2.5 billion low-income ‘neo-consumers’ by 2025; they will represent $1 trillion in aggregate consumption, creating a huge potential for enterprise-led interventions to serve their needs. With the Millennium Development Goals set to come to a close in 2015, and with the rise of the new Sustainable Development Goals, the creation of affordable, environment friendly and high quality services for these ‘neo-consumers’ will be critical to reducing vulnerabilities and increasing livelihood opportunities.
