EMRC announces the Africa Finance & Investment Forum 2009

 

16 October 2009 – Brussels, Belgium: EMRC and the FMO are proud to announce the 2009 edition of the Africa Finance & Investment Forum which will take place on the 13-15 December 2009 at the ABN AMRO Headquarters’ conference centre in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This year’s event is organised with the support of the INSEAD Business School, Clifford Chance Law Firm, Heineken, Bid Network, to mention but a few, with Air France & KLM as official carriers.  

Africa Finance & Investment Forum (AFIF) 2009 is the venue where financiers, bankers, government officials, private sector investors and entrepreneurs will meet with public and private financial institutions to discuss financing of projects in Africa. We expect over 250 professionals, from around the world, all keen to invest in Africa in view of the growing potential for development and who wish to turn the continent into a more attractive place.  

This year’s Forum will focus on Partnerships for Growth and Development

Keynote speakers include Martin Curwen, Director General at the European Investment Bank; Loïc Sadoulet; Head of Africa Initiative, Professor of Economics at INSEAD Business School; José Briosa é Gala, Personal rep. for Africa to the European Commission President and Thomas de Man, President Africa/Middle East, Heineken
