Social Innovation Series at University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business

UCT Graduate School of Business invites you to attend a new speaker series with our first speaker Professor Henry Mintzberg, Cleghorn Professor of Management Studies, McGill University, Montreal on Thursday, 2 February 2012.  "Rebalancing Society: Radical Renewal beyond Adam Smith and Karl Marx"

UCT Graduate School of BusinessA consistently contrary academic (The Economist, 16 January 2009), Henry Mintzberg argues that it’s time to rebalance society as imbalance has triumphed.  He argues that there is a need to build more engaging and responsible organisations and to sort out the appropriate roles for the public, private and “plural” (NGOs, Not for Profits and Civil Society) sectors.  In this talk, Professor Mintzberg offers thoughts on how this can be done.

On his first visit to South Africa, we  look forward to welcoming Professor Mintzberg to the GSB and are pleased to offer you the opportunity to join us in hearing from him on the great challenges facing leaders in all sectors of society.
