CEEMAN is happy to announce its 15th Annual Case Writing Competition and invites authors to participate with cases that refer to various aspects of business responses to global trends and their implications.

Following CEEMAN’s objective of promoting the development of high-quality case material relevant for the realities of transitional and emerging economies and at the same time promoting the development of case-writing capabilities in those countries, the eligibility for the competition is not limited to CEEMAN members only.

The author of the best case will be awarded a CEEMAN/Emerald prize of €1,500 plus:

  • possibility of publishing the case in one of Emerald journals
  • free participation in the 17th CEEMAN Annual Conference, to be held on 24-26 September 2009 in Riga, Latvia
  • free accommodation at the conference hotel for up to three nights reimbursement of travel costs up to €500
If a winning case has more than one author, the prize will be split among the co-authors (the prize may be subject to local taxes).

Case submission deadline: 20 July 2009
Authors notified about the competition results: 7 September 2009
Case Writing Competition Award: 25 September 2009 in Riga, Latvia

Please consult the guidelines on case writing and the criteria for review and evaluation of cases and teaching notes, available on the CEEMAN website, before submitting the case for the competition.
