FACULTY OPPORTUNITIES AT STRATHMORE UNIVERSITY & STRATHMORE BUSINESS SCHOOL

Strathmore University and the associated Strathmore Business School of Nairobi, Kenya are interested in
recruiting professors and PhD holders from reputable institutions around the world for several academic
positions in the following eight general areas:
  • Business Management/Marketing/
  • Actuarial Science
  • Strategic Management
  • Business Law
  • Healthcare management/Leadership
  • Education Management
  • Hospitality & Tourism Management
  • Finance /Accounting
  • IT/Informatics/Computer Science/Telecommunications
  • Ethics and Philosophy
These are contractual positions lasting from three (3) to five (5) years. Strathmore will be looking to hold discussions with potential candidates in the US, especially senior lecturers and/or retired professors who are willing to relocate to Kenya for the stated periods. Even though a competitive remuneration package will be offered, candidates with philanthropic outlook to Africa are especially encouraged to apply The Strathmore team consisting of three Deans will be delighted to meet and discuss these opportunities in the locations and dates below; The exact venues will be communicated near the dates of the interview.

Food for Thought

With very few exceptions, MBA programs in sub-Saharan Africa are unable to effectively compete with institutions in the West. As a result, MBA programs cannot attract the best local students or faculty and often lack the leadership prowess necessary to effectively position themselves within the market.
