10,000 Women is recruiting women for its next cohort of 10,000 Women scholars in Lima, Peru. The program seeks women with existing SMEs in and around the city.

In Peru, 10,000 Women has joined with Universidad del Pacifico, the Inter-American Development Bank’s Multilateral Investment Fund, Thunderbird School of Global Management and Mibanco, a leading provider of loans to small and micro entrepreneurs, to provide a business and management education to women entrepreneurs. In Lima, the program has already graduated 60 women and plans to enroll another 105 women this year.

To qualify for the program scholars must be women entrepreneurs who:

  • Have a secondary education
  • Are able to read and write in Spanish
  • Are a citizen of Peru
  • Have a current business in existence for at least one year with potential to grow
