INSEAD is pleased to announce the INSEAD African Faculty Fellowship program for the academic year 2011/2012. This fellowship is open to two members of the faculty of African business schools affiliated with either the Global Business School Network or the Association of African Business Schools.

The Fellowships are intended for those who are interested in developing their careers in research and teaching to their fullest potential. Fellows will spend one to two months during the academic year 2011/12 at one of INSEAD’s campuses. The choice of campus will depend on the preferences of the Fellowship winners and the suitability of INSEAD faculty mentors; the choice of months would be left to the Fellows to decide jointly with the relevant INSEAD faculty.

The objectives of the Fellowships are to assist in capacity building of African business schools and to deepen INSEAD’s commitment to being “The Business School for the World”.

Potential applicants should explore INSEAD’s web site

The deadline for applications is May 15, 2011. The Fellowship winners will be notified by June 15.

Testimonials from Past Fellows

Chipo MLAMBO, GSB Cape Town, Fellow 2008
The visit to INSEAD gave me the opportunity to interact with some of the world’s best researchers in my field. This boosted my own desire to become a world renown researcher one day. The warm reception, the friendliness of everyone around and the lunch and coffee meetings, gave me a sense of belonging and the feeling of being at home. The hype of activities, from the classes to the many research workshops and seminars made the experience all the more exciting. If it wasn’t for the INSEAD Africa Initiative, I would not have known what it is like to be an academic in a great institution such as INSEAD.”

Papa FAYE, ISM Dakar, Fellow 2009
I won the fellowship in 2009/2010 and choose to go in the Asian Campus of Singapore. I deeply appreciated the faculties’ hospitality and their open-mindedness in collaborating with colleagues from elsewhere. The pallet of conferences, seminaries and workshop are real tools of training in research and teaching. I learned much from my stay in the campus of Singapore. What a lovely country!
