The IESE Center for Emerging Markets recently hosted an international forum featuring leading experts on Sub-Saharan African markets, from Mali to Mozambique, South Africa to Senegal. IESE Prof. Sanjay Peters explains the importance of this forum, while three business experts representing Kenya and South Africa present the prospects and opportunities for investors in markets that remain largely unknown to many European firms.George Njenga, the Kenyan interviewee, is the former and founding dean of Strathmore Business School (SBS), a GBSN member school.

Initiated and organized by the Peter Drucker Society Europe, the essay contest has the overarching theme "Continuity and Change – Balancing Innovation and Time-Tested Practices" and is aimed at students, young managers and entrepreneurs.
