EY Joins the Global Business School Network’s Corporate Leadership Council

EY’s Commitment to GBSN will Support the Advancement of Quality Management Education for the Developing World

WASHINGTON D.C. – The Global Business School Network (GBSN) is pleased to announce that EY has joined the GBSN Corporate Leadership Council (CLC), which supports GBSN’s mission to improve access to quality, locally relevant management education for the developing world.  EY joins Johnson & Johnson and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Program on the CLC and will take an active role in GBSN’s efforts to strengthen the developing world’s pool of management, entrepreneurship and leadership talent.

GBSN works with Corporate Leadership Council members, as well as partners from the business education, private and public sectors, to build the capacity of educators and institutions to deliver programs which prepare their students to fill the rapidly expanding need for skilled business professionals in the developing world. At GBSN’s core is a growing network of nearly 70 leading business schools in 31 countries which are engaged in activities around the globe that support their shared mission.

“I am thrilled to welcome EY to the Global Business School Network’s Corporate Leadership Council,” said Guy Pfeffermann, CEO and Founder of GBSN.  “Council members share with GBSN a passion for enhancing management skills in the developing world. Strengthening the capacity of local business schools to form growing numbers of well-trained managers who are attuned to the ethical as well as the technical dimension of their professions is a powerful way to contribute to development. Such capacity building also speaks to the core interests of global corporations operating in frontier markets. I am looking forward to working with EY in coming years and expect that our collaboration will set a standard for future members of the Corporate Leadership Council.”

Developing high-performing talent, providing exciting and challenging opportunities for individuals in expanding regions of the globe and fostering entrepreneurship are primary goals for us, so we are very pleased to be collaborating with the Global Business School Network in this endeavor,” said Stephan Kuhn, Europe, Middle East, India & Africa (EMEIA) Tax Leader at EY.
