Guy PfeffermannHow do company executives see the quality of business schools around the world? 

The World Economic Forum’s Executive Opinion Survey gives us an answer.

Each year more than 13,000 business leaders rate the quality of business schools on a scale of 1 (worst) to 7 (best). The average for 146 countries falls neatly in the middle of the range, at 4.2. The chart shows regional variations.

Darden Leader Shares at Experiential Learning Summit

As part of the American University in Cairo annual research conference, the AUC Business School, Global Business School Network and Tuck School of Business convened a group of leaders in management education, the private sector, students and public officials to consider the opportunities for  experiential learning in management education, with an emphasis on the Middle East and North Africa region.  The event convened 60+ people from 11 countries across 4 continents, 15 universities and 14 corporations and associations.

Top African Business Schools to Collaborate on Entrepreneurship

A consortium of leading African business schools from five major countries have signed a novel partnership agreement, which commits them to sharing resources, expertise and research to give a much-needed boost to entrepreneurship, job creation and economic development on the continent.The newly formed African Academic Association on Entrepreneurship (AAAE) will promote and develop academic cooperation

Two MBAs Without Borders Advisors will fulfill the role of Business Development Advisors to assist with the Delivering Regional Instruction Vital to Entrepreneurial Success (DRIVES) Program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Belarus. The goal of the DRIVES program is to help expand the private sector by improving access to high quality business education for entrepreneurs in various regions of Belarus. Deadline: April 6, 2015.

>> MBAs Without Borders Advisor - Kazakhstan
An MBAs Without Borders (MWB) Advisor will fulfill the role of Business Development Advisor to assist with the Diversification of Monotown Economies (DOME) program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Kazakhstan. The goal of the DOME program is to stimulate jobs, business development, and economic diversification in six monotowns in the Karaganda region. Deadline: April 6, 2015.

>> 21st CEEMAN Case Writing Competition
Global submissions for the competition are invited with the focus on developing and emerging markets (Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Oceania and Middle East). The case studies need to demonstrate a real situation in a real company with clear decision-making situation, and have a well-developed teaching note ready to be used in classroom. Deadline: May 29, 2015.
