The agenda for GBSN’s capacity-building programs is based on the needs of emerging market schools and the particular competencies GBSN has gained in the field of management education. In the past this has included:
Strengthening and expanding existing business school curricula
Facilitating faculty training, mentoring and development
Creating entrepreneurship modules
Researching, writing and disseminating local case studies and other instructional materials
Creating networks for the dissemination of knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned
Food for Thought
A nascent
private sector, far too few qualified faculty members, marginal primary and secondary
preparation, and historical ambivalence - or even antagonism - between higher education
and the private sector all serve to exacerbate the legacy of insufficient financial
investment in graduate management education activities.
