Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE)

alt

GBSN is a member of the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE).  ANDE is a member‐driven organization housed within the Aspen Institute, an international non‐profit think tank. ANDE members are leading intermediaries (firms providing capital and/or business development services), funders, and experts who share a common desire to create a movement to unleash the potential of small and growing businesses (SGBs) in emerging markets.

Participants in ANDE share a common goal: to dramatically increase the amount and effectiveness of capital and technical/business assistance for entrepreneurs in developing countries. With the right support, SGBs will generate much needed employment, and in the process, address critical social and environmental problems in the developing world.  GBSN is proud to be a part of the movement to enhance the potential for SGBs to make a difference in the fight against global poverty.

Food for Thought

“The global crisis is not just a problem with mortgage systems and the regulation of banks in one country with a domino effect into many others. It also forces universities and business schools to ask questions about the nature of business and management education, and the issues of ethics we incorporate.”

Max Price, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Town
