Partnership Agreement

The Global Business School Network (GBSN) and the Association of African Business Schools (AABS) agree to enter into a partnership agreement based on their shared objective of strengthening business and management education in Africa.

AABS, which includes top African management schools, seeks to improve research, teaching, and curriculum standards; promotes cooperation among business school faculty and leadership; and encourages partnerships within the broader community. Longer term, the Association will pursue objectives such as playing a larger role in African policy debate and promoting increased international recognition for African Business Schools.

GBSN, a tax-exempt nonprofit organization registered in the U.S., supports the development of management education in Africa and other emerging markets. GBSN works with local partners, member business schools of the worldwide network, and donors to design and implement programs which strengthen the capacity of business and management schools in developing countries.

The partnership between GBSN and AABS is mutually beneficial as both work to raise the level of business and management education in Africa. AABS, a representative body, acts as a strong advocate for business education and brings regional expertise through its solid network of African stakeholders; GBSN offers strong project implementation capacity and brings international exposure through the worldwide network. AABS will continue to support capacity building programs implemented and administered by GBSN, and GBSN will continue to include AABS in its fundraising campaigns.
